What solar looks like on a Ascot roof
Ascot is largely pre-war and interwar housing, high-set Queenslanders, brick-and-tile interwar homes and a fair number of substantial two-storey rebuilds. Tile needs the right hooks and careful traffic management to avoid cracked tiles later. It is slower work than tin and any quote that prices it the same is telling you something.
Mature trees
The established jacarandas and figs that make the suburb look the way it does also throw serious afternoon shade. String layout and optimiser choice matter more here than in a new estate.
